Fence Installation & Repair services in New Canaan
New Canaan has no shoreline, so the fence problems here come from the land itself: hills, ledge, big trees and deer. Lots along Oenoke Ridge, Ponus Ridge and Smith Ridge are large and wooded, and a fence line may cross rock outcrops, wetland edges and an old stone wall in a single run. The town is also known for its mid-century modern houses, where owners often want a fence that stays low and quiet, such as horizontal cedar or thin black metal. Closer to the village the lots tighten up and privacy between neighbors matters more. We build deer fence for gardens and whole properties, pool enclosures, cedar privacy fence and driveway gates. On a wooded lot we walk the full line first, because where the rock sits decides where the posts can go.

Permits and local rules
New Canaan sets fence height and location through its zoning regulations, and work near wetlands can need a separate review. We ask the town about your address before the job is scheduled.
